Wooster Entrepreneurs United started for a simple reason: running a local business is easier when you are not doing it alone.
Why we started it
We started Wooster Entrepreneurs United because real support for a small business owner is hard to find around here. There is plenty of networking and there are plenty of events, but not much that helps with the actual work of running and growing a business. We both saw that gap, and between us we have the skills to close it.
We have each built and scaled businesses in different fields, so the help you get is not one person's single playbook. We have made the expensive mistakes already and learned what they cost. That is the whole point of the network, so you do not have to make them too.
Meet the founders
Chad Tennent
Co-founder
Chad is a Wooster entrepreneur who has started and grown several local businesses, including Woosh Delivery, the all-in-one delivery service he launched here in 2017. He has since sold most of them to focus on Scroll Theory, the studio behind WEU's websites, member software, and local SEO. He runs the digital and systems side of the network: the directory, the CRM, and the part of your Business Breakdown that gets into how you get found online and how you turn interest into booked work.
Seth Scrimo
Co-founder
Seth is a Marine Corps veteran and the founder of Scrimo Fitness, voted Wooster's People's Choice for Best in Fitness. He built it from nothing into a business that has helped thousands of people change their health, so he knows what it takes to grow a local brand, earn trust, and keep people coming back. He runs the operations and community side of WEU: building a real membership, running the in-person meetings, and the day-to-day of something people actually show up for.
